When do the clocks go forward in 2022? The date the clocks change in the UK
It's almost the time of year for the clocks to change again across the UK. In Spring the clocks move forward into British Summer Time - with them then moving back in October.
For those who can use their phones as alarm clocks and other devices that are connected to the internet, these should automatically update to the correct time. This means you will not need to worry about being late after your alarm clock goes off at the wrong time (although that won't stop you worrying about it).
Clocks will go backwards on October 30 - which is the one people generally prefer as it means they get an extra hour in bed.
So, when do the clocks go forward in 2022?
The clocks go forward at 1am on Sunday, March 27 2022 and will sadly mean we are robbed of an hours sleep as it automatically becomes 2am as a result as we move from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to British Summer Time (BST). But, people can rejoice in the face that we will bag a few more hours of daylight.
